For many millenia villagers alongside the Ramu river in northern Papua New Guinea have skillfully and meticulously made cans, or tins, for food storage. These ramutins have become synonymous with excellence in the protection of perishable products -Thanks to an advanced ancient technique the air gets automatically sucked out each time the lid is put on, thus encapsulating the contents of the ramutin in a vacuum bubble. Still to this day a handmade ramutin is far superior to the factory made tins we see in stores.
